From next week the unit tests were going to start but hazel's mind was only directed towards Jay.'Jay'....the moment she hears this name millions and millions of bells start to ring around her.These bell sounds were of the nervousness when she sees him walking across the corridor,the feelings which hazel felt only for jay.
Jay was not any extraordinary guy at the high school.rather he was an introvert,an incredible quizzer and a geeky kind of person.He was tall and not so well built but what attracted hazel the most was his way of speaking.
The day when she first saw him was easter day at school and he was a giving speech on Easter .She noticed him n she was lost in his voice which was oh so capturing !! Jay and Hazel were studying in different sections at the same school.
Then for the next few months hazel was busy adjusting in the new school and its environment and she did not notice jay.
Then just before the annual exams,jay was on line on My space and they talked for the first time.Their conversations were mainly about their school life and studies.But gradually hazel started to wait for his phone calls and his mail.
She really did not knew why this mere guy was becoming so important for her.and those days when jay didn't mailed her,the days were gloomy for her.
"may be is doing the same thing as me...may be he wants so bad to call me,but wont just because i haven't called him....then again,may be i shouldn't fill myself with false hope that he might just be missing me like i am missing him",hazel thought to herself. everyday before exams she saw jay keeping his bag just in the opposite direction of the room where she kept hers.she never found the courage to go and talk to him.Maybe she thought it wasn't the right time....
The exams got over and jay went to his home town.Just after the vacations got over hazel thought jay had forgotten her.it was silly,childish and stupid.how can her fairytale love story can turn into reality.in today's world,there was nothing called that true love thing.may be he was just playing around with her.she really didn't knew.
After a week during the break time,she saw him near the library,he was returning books.She waved her hand to say him 'hi' , to which a formal smile came from his stubborn face.As if he was doing it for a formality.That night,his phone call came....'you were looking cute today',he whispered.hazel said 'thank u,so you finally noticed me today'.'maybe',he said.
Then there were talks about their physics teacher who had given them a huge assignment to solve and talks about hazel's pet dog , named Doy.Hazel was delighted that someone was noticing her.They started to talk daily after school on the phone.He meant everything to her,but to him she was nothing.
The first blow came to her when she got to know that jay already had a girlfriend who was studying at some other school.hazel was shattered.she tried to ignore him at starting but she couldn't because it was impossible for her.
but life has to move on she thought.
she started to spend more time with her friends.playing with doy.solving algebra's equations.but there was something inside her that went missing.she was no more the same hazel.
"i never stopped loving.i just stopped showing it."
